Российско-немецкая музыкальная академия возникла по инициативе студентов музыкальных вузов Германии и России.
Академия представляет собой открытый форум, направленный в будущее, сочетающий преемственность и развитие. Участие в ней – это форма проявления гражданской активности молодых музыкантов, которые осознают свою ответственность за судьбу общего культурного наследия, и эта ответственность не зависит от политического климата.
«Молодые музыканты должны находиться в постоянном общении и обмене мнениями. Постоянный обмен профессиональным опытом – это важнейшая задача каждого серьезного музыканта», – отмечает Валерий Гергиев.
Концерт состоялся 29 ноября 2020 года.

The Russisch-Deutsche MusikAkademie was developed following an initiative by students from institutions for higher music education in Germany and Russia.
The academy comprises an open forum focussed on the future and it combines continuity with development. Participation in it is an example of the civic involvement of young musicians who are aware of their responsibility regarding the fate of our shared cultural legacy, and this responsibility does not depend on any political climate.
“Young musicians should be in constant contact with one another, exchanging views and opinions. The constant exchange of professional experience is an incredibly important task for every serious musician,” Valery Gergiev commented.
The concert took place on November, 29, 2020.

I have discovered Severin von Eckardstein 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹 the first time about eight years ago in Paris in a very tiny festival in a very small chapel, with a very bad acoustic; we were about 60 people – I was ashamed while I was stunned to discover a marvelous pianist with a prodigious musicality and … a great simplicity.
The second time, always in a recital, I heard him at the Lucerne festival.
The third time, the 26 of May 2018, at the TKM theatre in Renens, near Lausanne.
The fourth time, I heard him the 25 of August 2018 – always in a recital – at the Husum festival in north Germany : 'Raritäten der Klaviermusik' , which takes place in a very charming castle of the sixteen century – I recommend it to you; people come from all over the world – we are 160, in a rectangular salon, the chairs posed on a very old wooden floor, surrounded by paintings of the time; it lasts eight days; and there is much to discover 50 miles around.
It's just a great pleasure to attend one of his concerts.
I recommend : the superb cd : 'Wagner and the piano' , MDG 904 1805-6 , 2013 – he plays on a Steinway Concert Grand Piano 1901.
And : Lincoln Theatre, Miami Beach, live performance : 14 of May 2009 – VAI 4522
