Verdi e Brahms hanno musicato il tema del Requiem. Tema del riposo e della condanna delle crudeltà inferte dagli uomini ai loro simili. La musica non è solo estetica per le orecchie, deve scendere nel profondo dell'umanità e trasformarla. Siamo invece scesi nel baratro dell' odio della violenza delle guerre!
